Description

This Ocean Matrix HDMI Over IP Extender was purchased new and never used. It is in like new condition and will ship in the original packaging. The Ocean Matrix OMX-HDMI-2-IP HDMI Over IP Extender is designed to send HDMI audio and video over standard Ethernet cabling or an existing local area network (LAN), making it a practical solution when a direct HDMI cable run is too short or difficult to route. It works by converting HDMI to TCP/IP at the transmitter, then decoding back to HDMI at the receiver for display. HDMI Over Ethernet for Longer Runs and Network Distribution HDMI over Ethernet is a technology that allows HDMI audio and video signals to be transmitted over standard Ethernet cables or local area networks (LANs). It enables the extension of HDMI signals beyond the typical maximum cable length limitations. The HDMI over Ethernet system typically consists of two main components: a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter converts the HDMI signal into a data stream for transmission over an Ethernet. The receiver is connected to the display or television at the receiving end. It decodes the data stream and converts it back to an HDMI signal for viewing. HDMI over ethernet offers longer cable runs than standard HDMI cables, allowing you to extend the HDMI signal over a much greater distance. This is useful in larger spaces, such as conference rooms and auditoriums, as well as in home theater setups. System Flexibility: One Source to Multiple Displays The Ocean Matrix OMX-HDMI-2-IP converter and ethernet extender sends HDMI over a local area network (LAN) by first converting the signal from HDMI to TCP/IP. One transmitter can pair with up to 8 receivers over one network with a VLAN switch, which can be useful for distributing a single HDMI source to multiple displays across a facility. Performance and Build Details 36-bit deep color support for compatible sources and displays Transmission rate supported: 10.2Gbps L/R stereo audio May also be used as a standard point-to-point (up to 120 meters) transmit and receive for on-location monitoring and content delivery Robust aluminum housing Includes transmitter, receiver, and two 5VAC/DC switching power supplies.
