Precision Wash Output with Built-In Beam Shaping The MAC Viper Wash DX is a full-feature, full-range wash luminaire with a unique internal barndoor system (shutters) that enables designers to shape and control light projection onto stages, performers, scenery, scrims or any set element with great precision. The fixture's internal framing system makes it a highly capable, automated substitute for a conventional daylight Fresnel fixture. Color, Zoom, and Effects for Fast Show Changes The MAC Viper Wash DX features an outstanding quality of light with unlimited color choices and maintains near full efficiency throughout its entire zoom range with no visible beam jump when zooming from tight to wide. The fixture has adopted the compact form, impressive speed, superior light quality and beautiful colors that the MAC Viper Profile is renowned for and uses the same 1000-watt lamp. With 33,000 lumens and a flat, uniform field, it is well-suited for front light, stage washes, and punchy aerial looks. The 1:5 zoom range (13.5 to 59) provides both tight and wide coverage without interrupting the look during transitions. CMY color mixing supports vibrant palettes including true reds, rich ambers, primary green, and deep blues, while linear CTO lets you dial in color temperature from daylight to tungsten and expand the CMY palette. For programming flexibility, the combined dimmer/shutter system supports smooth fades, instant blackout/open, and diverse strobe effects. A fast, tight iris adds beam control and dynamic effects when you need more definition.
