Description

This Extron MediaLink Controller with RS-232 and IR Display Control was purchased new and never used. It is in like new condition and will ship in the original packaging. The Extron MLC 55 RS MediaLink Controller is an economical, easy-to-use keypad controller for common AV functions such as power, input selection, and volume in single display applications. Designed for classrooms, conference rooms, and huddle spaces, it puts everyday display control on the wall or lectern so users can operate a projector or flat panel without relying on the handheld remote. Control and Integration for Single-Display Systems The MLC 55 RS offers a unidirectional RS-232 and IR port for universal display control, with a software-selectable IR/Serial port for communicating with virtually any projector or flat panel display. Discrete ON and OFF display power controls simplify system operations and help eliminate power-state guesswork during start-up and shut-down. Configurable Buttons and Easy Labeling Configurable buttons can be set up to control display power, input selection, volume, or any other IR/RS-232 command supported by the display. Dual color, backlit buttons can be labeled for easy identification, illuminating red or white for ease of use in low-light environments, and pre-printed label sheets are included. Removable button caps make it easy to label each button to clearly indicate its function; labels can be quickly changed in the field and don't require programming or engraving. Flexible Mounting and Setup The faceplate hides the mounting screws and configuration port, giving the controller a refined, uncluttered appearance. The MLC 55 RS can be mounted in a standard, one-gang junction box, included mud ring, SMB 111 Surface Mount Box, or EWB 101 External Wall Box, allowing the controller to be installed virtually anywhere, including walls, lecterns, or tables. The controller can be configured using the Extron MLC 55,62,64 Series software. IR learning capability allows you to capture IR codes from a device’s handheld remote control for quick setup with supported displays.
