Used Portable Dimmer

The portable dimmer is basically just a smaller version of the larger dimmer rack, which is a device used to control the �??fade in�?� and �??fade out�?� of stage lighting fixtures. The portable dimmer is handy for situations when a larger console is not required, as this type of dimmer pack can be quickly and easily set up without needing to integrate too many other devices through it. A portable dimmer pack will usually have 1, 2 or 4 channels, and is designed to provide the utmost convenience. The circuit breakers on a dimmer pack replace the need for fuses, and are usually resettable so they allow for a one button digital DMX setup, which can be configured through an LED or LCD panel on the portable dimmer, in place of dip-switch settings. The portable dimmer will usually feature a rugged metal chassis, making it the ideal dimmer for portable applications as well as stationary ones. Typical outputs will be a 3 pin microplex XLR input/output and a 3 pin DMX XLR input/output, while for further convenience a portable dimmer may even feature a channel selector that lets technicians choose how many channels they require for a specific task. Most portable dimmer devices will usually be housed in tough metal casing and come with a mounting bracket that allows them to be secured in place wherever it is set up.
