The range of JB-lightings professional moving-heads has now been upgraded by the introduction of a new product: Varycolor P6.
The Varycolor P6 is a successful combination of latest technology and components with proven reliability. The VC P6 benefit especially from the optical system, which is identical to the one of the VaryColor 7 and therefore offers durability and an extraordinary light output.
The Varycolor P6 features a CMY-colour mixing unit, beamshape, floodeffect, shutter, Dimmer and a zoom lens for beam angle variation. In addition it features a colourwheel with seven colours, like all the other models from JB-lightings professional moving-head series to ensure full compatibility.
The VC P6 employs a HMI 575W lamp which features stable colour temperature and proven reliability. The lamp will always fit perfect into the reflector due to the double-ended design. The combination of the HMI 575 with the unique slide-in technology of JB-lighting provides user friendliness at a top-level for comfortable and effective operation.

JB Lighting
In the southern part of Germany, located right in the middle between Stuttgart and Munich, JB-lighting creates, develops and produces intelligent lighting equipment since 1987. The range of lighting equipment features moving-light profiles and washlights, wellknown by the brand name Varyscan and Varycolor. The moving-heads feature state-of-the art technology and high light output. They are used in TV-Studios, Theatres and for live-touring business. In addition to the lighting equipment JB-lighting offers a range of lighting control consoles for different applications.
JB-lightings philosophy is not only to create and develop reliable products, but to produce the products ecologically. To achieve this aim, JB-lighting installed a photovoltaic installation which produces more electrical power than is actually required for the production of JB-lightings products.
Used Moving Lights
Moving lights, or intelligent lighting as they are sometimes called, are basically a type of stage lighting that is able to move due to its integrated mechanical elements, which go beyond the moving parts that are found in more traditional, non-moving lighting.
Automated lighting such as moving lights is highly valued by stage lighting technicians as through them, it is possible to create highly complex special effects that simply cannot be made using standard, non-moveable lights. It should be noted however, that when it comes to intelligent lighting, the real intelligence lies with the programmer of the show, rather than the lighting equipment or any operator.
Moving head lights, also called moving head luminaires, are highly versatile lighting instruments capable of performing multiple lighting functions at once. They have largely superseded the use of multiple non-moving lights to create special effects, which required many lights and a large amount of skill on behalf of the operators.
Moving lights are hooked up to a lighting control console and send data to it in one of three ways ?? through an Ethernet control (a relatively new technology), analogue control (now almost obsolete), or DMX, (which is now the industry standard).
So long as they have been properly programmed, the optics of wiggly lights can be altered in many ways, allowing for the ??personality? of the lights to be adapted almost instantaneously, depending on the requirements of the operator. Typically, moving lights will be pre-programmed before a production and controlled using simple commands, although some more experience operators may prefer to control them ??live?, if they have the experience to do so.
