The first building was a former officer's mess in the Bismarckstrasse. In 1960 the company moved into larger buildings in the Theresienstrasse where today 260 people develop and produce innovative products for an ever growing number of customers. Careful and meticulous attention is paid to research and development of new products for today's rapidly changing markets. In 1998 beyerdynamic presented the first wireless conference system for more effective conferences. We continued to develop this technology and since 2001 we offer the MCW-Digital, the first digital wireless conference system that is used successfully in many banks, congress centres and council chambers all over the world.

Headsets are one of the most vital pieces of technology in the stage production industry, and not only for technicians but also the performers as well. Headsets are essential for all communication systems to work effectively, especially in noisy environments such as when a concert is taking place, or in a recording studio. Headsets are essentially a pair of earphones, each containing an ear bud, combined with a microphone that allows for effective two-way communication between a number of participants. Working like a portable intercom, headsets connect to a computer using a piece of software known as a dongle. In addition to being uses in the studio and during productions, headsets are also useful in situations where a large number of people are speaking at once, such as a call center, where it is important that the sound clarity is at an optimum. The most popular style of headsets these days are wireless sound system headsets, as the lack of cables allows wearers more freedom to move around. A headset wireless mic can work using Bluetooth technology, although more popular are the DECT wireless headsets, which use a 1.88 to 1.90 GHz or 1.92 to 1.93 GHz RF frequency. Also popular is the 2.4 GHz wireless Headworn Microphone, which uses a 2.4GHz RF.
