The 7.5-inch Coloram IT scrolling color changer is the second-smallest unit in Wybrons family of professional-grade Color Changers. Its the next step up from the Coloram II family of Color Changers, which we produced for nearly 20 years.
The IT generation of Coloram Color Changers comes packed with a wealth of improvements and new features.
The Coloram ITs aluminum case features rounded corners for easier handling. A non-reflective matte finish powder coat keeps the color changer cleaner. The front door cant fall off the chassis because its hinged and secured with fasteners that require no tools. Also on the front, a multi-use gel frame can hold a frost gel frame or lock in place to securely hold a top hat.
The units all-aluminum rollers are coated for long life and run on bushings rather than ball bearings for quieter operation. The drive belt has a special profile for movement thats quieter than the old-fashioned timing belts. And as in Coloram II, the rollers are direct-driven from the digital servo motor, with no gears or belts to create extra noise. Bottom line, the Coloram IT is the quietest color changer weve ever made.
The control electronics have also been extensively upgraded. We have moved away from BLOCK mode addressing, and now each color changer can have any address in the DMX universe. Also, the address is now set electronically so the unit can be set up remotely a big time-saver when changes need to be made quickly.
