City Color 1800

By improving the features that characterized the great success of the well-known CityColor our technicians have projected a little and complete range of products which can meet with all the requests and needs to light up outdoor and indoor big surfaces: theatres, discos, parks, town centers, castles, sport facilities and so on. The numerous color shades achievable through the three filters can make the best of any lightened object.

The CYM colorchanger system (international patent) is used on all models and makes it possible to light up a surface of about 10x15 mts with the fixture placed over a distance of 10 mts.

The three fixtures that compose this little line differ in the power of the lamp and the IP RATE. Two of them use Philips 1800W lamp, while the new Osram 2500W is used on the third: the various powers available can allow, also thanks to a particularly efficient optic system, to even enlarge the possibilities of use of these fixtures.

The IP RATE is 33 or 54 according to the version, and this makes it possible to choose the most appropriate model according to one's needs: for fixtures used in a not particularly critic environment, it is possible to take off the filter and make the IP RATE change to 44, which is the standard value for most applications.

In the new models all the functions for the setting of the fixture can be programmed from the menu through the keys, and without using any switch or mechanic Elements: all the options are shown on the display thus making the programming fast and simple.

The cooling system is controlled by a microprocessor and together with the thermal switch guarantee a perfect working temperature and very little maintenance: often the only service needed is the lamp replacement (after about 2.500 hrs).

Great help is given from the special option in the menu that shows the lamp life, by enabling the replacement of the bulb at the right time (after about 2500 hrs), and also by the counter, very useful especially to the services, to check the hours that the fixture has been working for.

Fifteen programmes are already stored in the memory of the fixtures which can therefore be used also without remote controllers and in synchro mode with Master/Slave setting.

It is also possible to make a custom use of the fixture through the DMX connection, by using a remote controller to create any kind of color games.

Used Moving Lights

Moving lights, or intelligent lighting as they are sometimes called, are basically a type of stage lighting that is able to move due to its integrated mechanical elements, which go beyond the moving parts that are found in more traditional, non-moving lighting. Automated lighting such as moving lights is highly valued by stage lighting technicians as through them, it is possible to create highly complex special effects that simply cannot be made using standard, non-moveable lights. It should be noted however, that when it comes to intelligent lighting, the real intelligence lies with the programmer of the show, rather than the lighting equipment or any operator. Moving head lights, also called moving head luminaires, are highly versatile lighting instruments capable of performing multiple lighting functions at once. They have largely superseded the use of multiple non-moving lights to create special effects, which required many lights and a large amount of skill on behalf of the operators. Moving lights are hooked up to a lighting control console and send data to it in one of three ways ?? through an Ethernet control (a relatively new technology), analogue control (now almost obsolete), or DMX, (which is now the industry standard). So long as they have been properly programmed, the optics of wiggly lights can be altered in many ways, allowing for the ??personality? of the lights to be adapted almost instantaneously, depending on the requirements of the operator. Typically, moving lights will be pre-programmed before a production and controlled using simple commands, although some more experience operators may prefer to control them ??live?, if they have the experience to do so.
