Protocol - In computing, a protocol is a convention or standard that controls or enables the connection, communication, and data transfer between two computing endpoints. In its simplest form, a protocol can be . Used . defined as the rules governing the syntax, semantics, and synchronization of communication. Protocols may be implemented by hardware, software, or a combination of the two. At the lowest leve. Used . l, a protocol defines the behavior of a hardware connection.

Protocols should be distinguished from technical standards, which variously specify how to build a computer or related hardware device,...

XGA - Extended Graphics Array is a standard computer display introduced in 1990 by IBM. The initial version of XGA built upon IBM's VGA, adding support for two resolutions, 800 × 600 pixels with high color . Used . and 1024 × 768 pixels with a palette of 256 colors. XGA-2 was developed later and with 1024 x 768 pixels with high color, and 1360 x 1024 with 16 colors. However, all XGA modes have an aspe. Used . ct ratio 4:3 rounded to 8 pixels....

Address - In computer science, a memory address is a unique identifier for a memory location at which a CPU or other device can store a piece of data for later retrieval. In modern byte-addressable computers, e. Used . ach address identifies a single byte of storage; data too large to be stored in a single byte may reside in multiple bytes occupying a sequence of consecutive addresses. Some microprocessors . Used . were designed to be word-addressable, so that the typical storage unit was actually larger than a byte. Examples include the Texas Instruments TMS9900 and the National Semiconductor IMP-16, both of which used ...

Preset Boards - Preset boards are the most basic lighting consoles - and also the most prevalent in smaller installations. They consist of two identical fader banks, called 'scenes.' The faders (control slides) on th. Used . ese scenes can be manually adjusted. Each scene has the same number of channels which control the same dimmers, but only one is live at a time, so the console operator can build a scene, then. Used . fade to it. Blinders

Blinders are incandescent or LED stage lights which are directed at a relatively low angle toward the audience or stage. Designed for stage flood lighting, these intensely bright lighting fixtures are technically PAR lights. PAR lights or Parabolic Aluminum Reflector lights are so-called because of the actual material they are composed of. They are of halogen nature, that is, in place of a light-emitting filament, they have a halogen capsule that gives off light. When electric current runs through the halogen gas, the resulting chemical reaction allows the capsule to emit phosphorescence or light. Blinders normally have a parabolic-shaped aluminum base. The curve of the base is so designed to capture and directly focus emitted light. The aluminum construction is intensely-reflective and is intended to take the greatest amount of light possible and focus the captured light on a specific area. The PAR lights in blinders are categorized according to beam and size. They have a bulb life of approximately 2,000 hours, with the higher watt levels going at around 500 watts or 0.5 kilowatts up to 1000 watts or one kilowatt. Their beam ranges are much wider to illuminate much broader areas. The bulbs used in blinders give off a more white-colored light with higher color temperatures ranging from 3000 K (Kelvin) to 3200 K. They are classified as warm-colored lighting, in this case. These bulbs are also frequently sold with PAR specifications that are either PAR36 or PAR64. The number following PAR corresponds to the individual bulb’s diameter measured by the number of eighths of an inch. Thus, a PAR36 bulb is around 4.5 inches across, while a PAR64 bulb is exactly 8 inches across.
