Used Ear Q Technologies Products Ear Q Technologies (Manufacturer Page) Musicians, sound engineers, and producers rely on their hearing to a much greater degree than most people do. Most people listen to music in an offhand manner--but pro engineers and musicians make their living by the ability to create, scrutinize, analyze, critique, modify, shape, control, enjoy, and rejoice in the details of each piece of music. And to do all this, you utilize your own perception as the measuring device. This is the Artist's Way, but it does have some limitations. Especially if you've been at it for years, and the normal process of getting slightly, slightly, ever so slightly older has perhaps started to kick in. And no matter how careful one tries to be, we all lose a step or two as time advances. So…how can you be sure that what you hear, what you mix translates to the rest of the world? You probably already own devices to determine what's going on acoustically—quartz tuners to check tuning, bargraph or analogue meters to check input/output levels, RTA/FFT/TEF devices to check room and mix characteristics, etc--but, until now, there has been no convenient and accurate way for you to find out how you are actually hearing. The EAR Q Reference Hearing Analyzer is the only existing tool to fill that need. To stay on top of your game, the Ear Q system is an essential tool for your studio/road case/ home. Used Eminence Speaker Products Eminence Speaker (Manufacturer Page) In 1966, Bob Gault founded what was to become the world's largest loudspeaker manufacturing company after working as an engineer for Magnavox and CTS (Chicago Telephone Supply). Ironically, Gault started Eminence hoping to manufacture three 18" speakers per day, based on a commitment from Ampeg's Everett Hull. Under the leadership of Gault and most recently his son, Rob, the company's capacity has grown to over 10,000 speakers per day, employing over 200 people. Hartley Peavey summed up Gault's commitment to engineering and the music industry recently when he wrote, "My friendship and business relationship with Bob Gault has endured for over 32 years. Why? We both share the dream of building something better for less than the competition charges". Gault was the president of Eminence from the company's inception until 1992. He officially retired in 1993, but continued to make valuable contributions to the company. Gault passed away on October 4, 2002. He was a husband, father, and grandfather. Gault was also an avid golfer. He will be greatly missed by this family, the music industry, and the Eminence community. Eminence, Kentucky (population 3000) is centrally located in the heart of Kentucky, between Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio. Bob Gault, founder of Eminence Speaker chose this location as it was ideally situated for shipping products all over the USA. Used Engineering Solutions Products Engineering Solutions (Manufacturer Page) We are an electronics manufacturing and consulting firm which focuses on two main niches: DMX equipment and custom response boxes. Used Enliten Products Enliten (Manufacturer Page) Enliten is the specialist architectural lighting division of the White Light Group which is the largest theatre lighting rental and sales company in the UK. It was established to fulfil the needs of non-theatre lighting professionals for effect lighting that could be used more successfully in the architectural environment. Enliten manufactures and distributes theatrical style lighting and effects that are specifically designed or adapted for use in the architectural, retail and themed entertainment market. In addition to manufacturing, we also offer a special service in the UK to lighting design professionals who are creating more dramatic and interesting lighting. We act as a solution provider, making it our business to work with the project team at every stage that they require our help to ensure that the project works for the client. We define the difference between this service and that of a boxed goods sale in a way of working more commonly found in theatre - "Our job is not to achieve what is written on a piece of paper, but ensure that the project works. We care about the result and we will work with all of the people involved in the project, at whatever stage we can help, to ensure that the primary goal or mission of the project is achieved". To those working in the theatre industry, this seems to be a basic requirement for working on a project, but when a construction project is run on the basis of a large building contract with many consultants, designers and subcontractors and it is accepted practice (certainly in the UK) to bid low, provide the minimum of equipment quality and time, and to charge extras wherever possible, our philosophy can be refreshing for those wishing to achieve a top quality result. Used Equi-Tech Products Equi-Tech (Manufacturer Page) Equi=Tech Corporation is the pioneer of balanced AC power. Started in Oregon in 1992 by its President, Martin Glasband, it has grown in stature and size gaining recognition and acceptance in many high profile engineering circles and high tech industries as the leader of the balanced power revolution. . The mission of Equi-Tech Corporation is to enhance the performance of sensitive electronics used throughout science, industry and the home and reduce worldwide fuel consumption by pioneering and promoting Equi-Tech's patented balanced power technology. Gaining acceptance of this revolutionary technology in AC power has put the company to task on numerous fronts. Perhaps the most significant of these was to ensure that balanced AC power achieved acceptance and recognition in the National Electrical Code. Attaining this goal was crucial if the company was ever to realize fulfillment of its mission. In November of 1993, Mr. Glasband with a few of his associates in the electrical industry drafted a proposal to amend the National Electrical Code that outlined methods and standards for the use of balanced power. Upon presentation to the technical committees, the proposal caused considerable excitement among the panel's experts. Electrical industry leaders hailed the proposal as a "simple and elegant" solution to the growing power quality concerns and electrical noise issues confronting many high-tech electronic industries. The proposal overwhelmingly passed a vote of the committee and was adopted in the following edition of the National Electrical Code. Equi-Tech remained largely an R&D company until 1994. Then it entered the marketplace with some revolutionary electrical products. Because of Martin Glasband's background in the electrical power and professional recording industries, the professional audio arena was selected as his proving grounds. It wasn't long before Equi-Tech products received awards from many trade publications and associations in the audio, video and broadcasting industries. Balanced power proved to be the answer to many tough technical noise issues that had plagued engineers for many decades. Never before had engineers realized the superior level of performance from their equipment or quality in their finished products. Indeed, Equi-Tech balanced power systems provided no small advantage, rather the improvement in signal quality in the electronics was astonishing. Today, top studio designers rely on Equi-Tech to provide a stable, clean foundation for their clients sophisticated equipment needs. Today, the majority of music CDs and DVDs as well as movies and television programs are produced in studios that rely on balanced AC power from Equi-Tech. Professional engineers in diverse technical and scientific fields across the country have also discovered the technology and electrical products Equi-Tech offers. Including pharmaceutical manufacturing, telecommunications and national research laboratories, interest in balanced power has been growing all throughout modern industry. The balanced power revolution is on. Today, Equi-Tech's turn-key systems and engineered designs can be found running facilities such as NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Federal Aviation Agency's ASR-8 Air Traffic Control Centers. With an eye towards the future, Equi-Tech pushes onward, marshaling its highly refined products, its superior application experience and its resources, opening new doors daily in an effort to accomplish its mission and to realize the vision of its founder and president, Martin Glasband.
